Dr. Leah Hill is a veterinarian and founder of Pet Vet Products. With 26 years of experience in small animal and emergency medicine, she has spent her career treating pets in real-life urgent situations and helping owners understand what to do when every minute matters.

Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Dr. Hill moved to California in 1990. She studied avian medicine at UC Davis before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999.Dr. Hill later owned and operated a veterinary hospital in Merced, California, where she grew a single-doctor practice into a 24-hour emergency clinic with an eight-doctor team. During those years, she saw the same problem over and over: pet owners wanted to help, but they often did not have the right supplies, information, or confidence to act before reaching a veterinarian.

That experience led her to write the Pet Vet First Aid Guide and create Pet Vet Products. Her products are designed from a veterinarian’s perspective, with practical tools and clear guidance for the situations pet owners are most likely to face at home, on walks, while traveling, or during an unexpected emergency.

Dr. Hill continues to practice small animal medicine in Orange County. Through Pet Vet Products, she brings decades of clinical experience into products that help pet owners feel more prepared, more informed, and better equipped to care for their dogs and cats when it matters most.
