Activated Charcoal for Cats & Dogs, 30 ml / Gel, Beef Flavored / ASIN: B0H4HYV2YW / $35... I'd call a pet poison helpline. There are plenty, and you should have one in your contacts. And I know they'll quickly ask if I have activated charcoal on hand -- I do, for this and other purposes, but it's a powder form in a large crinkly mylar bag that makes an absolute disaster of a mess that would make a chimney sweep blush. A credit to PETVET PRODUCTS for making me aware of this quick, convenient, clean and presumably more tasty option delivered in a prefilled syringe. You can't get any simpler than that and with accidental poisoning of pets, time is of even greater essence given their smaller body weights and differing metabolisms.Instructions and dosing are clearly printed on both the box and syringe. The dose is easily remembered at 1 ml per pound of body weight. A scale on the plunger will be your guide. One syringe can administer an animal weighing up to 30 pounds. Keep that in mind if you have a 100 pound Burnese Mountain Dog bumbling around your home. For smaller animals, you may think you'll have 2-3 doses. Sure, if you have 2-3 cats that ingested the same poison. But some quick research will show you that multiple dosing of activated charcoal is rare and only in certain cases with specific matters. Also, charcoal does not work for all poisons. So yes, this is a great aide to have in your pets FAK but instead of just tossing it in a drawer, spend a few minutes learning what it can and can't do. And you'll still want to call poison control -- if you're not already underway to the vet or nearest animal hospital.I'm grateful to have this product now and will recommend it to friends and family. Thank you PETVET for bringing it to my attention!//
